Our History
With The Luck of Giving in 2012, Callia Foundation began its social initiatives.
Over the years, we have launched new projects, joined by valuable partners such as the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of San Fernando, of which we have become the main patron through funding its collection restoration program; the Honorable Madrid City Council; the recently inaugurated Royal Collections Gallery, one of this century’s greatest museums; and the Spanish Royal House, represented by Her Majesty Queen Sofía, who has presided over the Ibero American Patronage Awards Ceremony since 2020.
In 2024, Callia Foundation was honored with the Medal of Honor for Fine Arts in Spain, a recognition that reinforces our commitment to Art and Culture.
In 2025, entering a new phase, the awards evolved from an IberoAmerican recognition to an international platform celebrating borderless patronage, becoming the International Patronage Awards.
Additionally, that same year marked the launch of Patrons: The Social Program, an educational initiative that, alongside the cinematic project Patrons, aims to inspire young generations through the example of great art patrons.
Furthermore, Patrimonio Nacional and Callia Foundation will collaborate on preserving the Royal Collections by establishing the International Council of Patrons, strengthening their commitment to safeguarding artistic heritage.
